Lions in this region of northern Kenya are highly vulnerable as they come into regular conflict with farmers who live alongside the large carnivores. One such project is Ewaso Lions, which helps to conserve Kenya’s lions and other large carnivores by promoting coexistence between people and wildlife. The Columbus Zoo supports many projects in Africa, which are highlighted in Heart of Africa.
